Tuesday – March 26th – Revelation 21:23     -----

21:23) And the city has no need of sun or moon, for the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its light.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
TO FEEL SORRY FOR THE NEEDY IS NOT THE MARK OF A CHRISTIAN— TO HELP THEM IS.*

Hello Tuesday (yes, the real Tuesday this week 😊). Yesterday, I shared with you the particulars on the Good Friday service, now today I want to remind you of all the options for Easter Sunday services. In addition to our normal 8am and 9:45am in building worship services we will be adding for this week only an 11am Easter Sunday service.  The 11am service will contain all the other great music from the first two services. Of course, our online livestream service will still be at 9:45am. Hope to see you in person or online with us to celebrate the joy of Easter.

In our pick verse today, we continue to read John’s explanation of what he sees in his vision of New Jerusalem. In what may be the most striking difference from our current world, and most difficult for us to understand from our limited human perspective is that New Jerusalem will have neither sun nor moon. Just as the heavenly city needs not a temple because of the fullness of God’s presence, it will also be brilliantly illuminated into every nook and cranny from the shekinah glory of God. Not only is God’s glory lighting the way, Jesus as the Lamb of God is its eternal lamp. Jesus utterly defeated any and all darkness in the new world order. Since physical light is so often a biblical picture for spiritual and moral righteousness, the presence of an everlasting lamp points to the permanent overthrow and elimination of sin and evil.

Blessings
