Tuesday – January 31st – 1 John 4:12 -----
4:12) No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
HOW MANY FRIENDS WOULD YOU HAVE LEFT IF YOU STARTED SPENDING AS MUCH TIME WITH THEM AS YOU DO WITH GOD?*
Good Tuesday to you! One of my favorite missions here at SunRise is “Food 4 Hope and More”. Called by a few different names over our 32 year history, collecting food for others has always been a mainstay at SunRise. Currently we have partnered with local school districts to provide food and hygiene items for students in need. Dozens of bags of groceries go out each week, so dozens of bags of groceries need to come in to stay up with demand. You can find out the latest items needed, by going to either the SunRise website or the SunRise app and click on the link labeled “donations”. Thank you in advance for your help and assistance.
In our pick verse today, John continues his teaching on how we are to continually strive to love others like God has loved us. John bases his teaching in this verse that seeing God cannot be our inspiration to love others, since no one has seen the face of God. Jesus revealed God to us through his words and actions, and now, because of our relationship with Jesus, God is revealed through our love for one another. God’s love for us grows toward perfection when godly love controls our thoughts and actions. Perfect love, made possible by the indwelling Holy Spirit, is both our primary obligation and highest privilege as a follower of Jesus. When we allow God to abide in us, we can do great things for the Kingdom of Heaven.
Blessings
