For those who live in the shadow of the steeple of the SunRise O’Fallon campus, you are invited to hang around after either of the worship services this weekend to participate in our leadership team’s quarterly informational get-together “What’s Up SunRise”. This Sunday the primary topic of conversation and sharing will be around the 2023 SunRise spending plan. This is your opportunity to know exactly what is in the spending plan and how your generosity makes a difference in the shadow of this steeple and beyond. Questions on the financial spending plan or any mission or ministry at SunRise are welcome. See you Sunday!
In our pick verse for today, John continues to teach on how we are to love others as an example of God’s love within us. As believe, when we express love in practical ways, this instills in us Holy Spirit inspired confidence before the throne of God. The mantra of all the apostles was simply that we are not saved by works, but neither are we saved without letting good deeds flow through us. When God’s grace is planted in our hearts, we will consistently produce an array of good works. What is God inspiring you to do on behalf of someone else?
