3:6) Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
ALL BLESSINGS CARRY RESPONSIBILITY, SO DON’T PRAY FOR THE FIRST IF YOU’RE NOT READY FOR THE SECOND.*

Good Thursday to you!  Our inspirational thought today is one that causes me to stop and reflect on how I make requests to God. Whatever God may bless us with – health, wealth, relationship, status, peace, etc. – each one of them requires us to give God thanks in return. Being thankful is more than a smile or nod in God’s direction, but true heartfelt appreciation is expressed in our representing the Kingdom of Heaven for others to see. Our witness to the power and presence of God goes beyond our words all the way to our actions. Being thankful for the blessings we have received is conveyed in our giving God all the glory, praise, and credit for our lives.

In our pick verse today, John explains why a believer is called to walk in the way of Jesus. A Christian cannot both abide in Jesus and continue to sin at the same time. The person who intentionally chooses the actions of sin is not living their life in Jesus and, in that sense, has not “seen” Him. Unless a sin-filled person repents, there is an absence of biblical evidence that supports their eternal salvation will be in the presence of God. I don’t want to take the chance that when it is all said and done God will go against His word, His way, His will, or His when to let unrepentant sinners into the Kingdom of Heaven. While universal salvation sounds appealing, it violates the very essence of God’s true and holy nature.

Blessings
