Tuesday – January 10th – 1 John 3:3 -----
3:3) And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
FAITHFULNESS IN LITTLE THINGS IS A BIG THING.*
Happy Tuesday to you! **Yesterday in the blog I inadvertently stated that the Journey of a Lifetime study was on Fridays, sorry folks it is on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm. Hope to see you either inbuilding or online.** Our inspirational thought for today is an important reminder for all believers. We have all been told at one time or another it is the little things that count, that details are important, or a tiny error can lead to a disastrous result. The ability to be faithful in little or small matters says a lot about our character and our commitment to God. The low-key behind the scenes works of faith are what God notices first in our discipleship walk. What little things await you this week where you can be a faithful follower of Jesus?
In our pick verse today, John continues to encourage his readers to be intentional in their following in the steps of Jesus. When we become a disciple, we willingly submit ourselves to the purifying work of God in our lives. Once God has purified our heart away from sin, we then join in partnership with the Holy Spirit to keep ourselves in love with God. Our goal as a disciple is to be like Jesus and not like the world. Since Jesus Himself was pure and holy we have every opportunity to use all avenues God gives us to help assist our becoming pure in spirit, heart, and mind. John encourages us to purify ourselves as Jesus is pure because it is God who does the ultimate cleansing.
Blessings
