Saturday – December 10th – 2 Peter 3:14 ------
3:14) And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight.
The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
A FIELD THAT HAS RESTED GIVES A BOUNTIFUL CROP.*
Good Saturday to you! Just a friendly reminder that we are 14 days away from Christmas Eve. Be sure and check out the full schedule of in-building Christmas Eve services at SunRise under “events” on either the SunRise App or website. For those online worshippers we will livestream the 3pm Christmas Eve service and then have it available for on-demand viewing immediately following the end of the service. As an important worship note -- ***we will not have a worship service on Sunday December 25th - Christmas Day***, enjoy your family while remembering God’s greatest present ever. This Sunday we will celebrate the third week of Advent in our series “Through The Eyes Of A Child”. Of course, no Christmas would be complete without food, lots of food, lots of rich calorie laden food. Yes, this weekend we will discuss the “greatest food ever” as seen through the eyes of a child.
In our pick verses today, Peter continues to encourage us to stay focused on the truth of God no matter how appealing the words of the false prophets might be. One of the shortcomings we humans share, is our inability to wait patiently for anything we are excited about. For those who are followers of Jesus we are required to wait both patiently and with great anticipation for His return at the end of the ages. How we live matters greatly to Jesus. Our lives are constantly being viewed by others as their way of connecting to the truth of the Gospel. How we live can either draw others to Jesus or push them away because of our example. Because we represent the future coming of the Kingdom of Heaven, we should live a blameless life of holiness. What does that look like for you?
Blessings
