Saturday – June 12th – 1 Thessalonians 3:9-10     -----

3:9 For what thanks can we render to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sake before our God,
10 night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face and perfect what is lacking in your faith?

The Daily Walk Bible inspirational thought for today:
NO DAILY MEAL IS COMPLETE WITHOUT THE BREAD OF LIFE.*

Hello Saturday! Another beautiful but hot weekend on tap for those of us who live in the O’Fallon area. Temps are forecast for low to mid 90’s – so get out early and avoid the potentially dangerous heat and humidity in the afternoons. For our readers who live, or are vacationing, in less humid climates enjoy the blessing you are experiencing. Our inspirational thought for today is a fresh take on our needing to keep God as a primary focus in our lives. Our every thought, word, and activity filters through the strength of our relationship with God. The stronger our connection the greater our commitment.

In our pick verses today, Paul wraps up his current focus on the good report from Timothy concerning the faith commitment of the Thessalonians. To ensure their continued strength in the Lord, Paul was on his knees praying for them. Paul’s prayers for the Thessalonians were both continuous and fervent. The faith of the Thessalonians lacked full instruction because Paul’s stay with them had been cut short because of those who stirred up trouble against him. Paul, in the remainder of this letter, is preparing to provide additional instructions for the Thessalonian believers. No matter how long we have followed Jesus, we should be open to constant and ongoing instruction to be a more fully committed follower of Jesus. What might you learn today that you didn’t know yesterday?

Blessings
  Pastor Jim
