Wednesday – March 3rd – Philippians 2:19-20 ---
2:19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, that I also may be encouraged when I know your state.
20 For I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state.
Wednesday’s Daily Walk Bible thought for the day:

Happy Wednesday to you! A midweek check-in once again to gauge how our personal discipline plan is playing out. With the 2021 focus on discipleship at SunRise it gives each of us the opportunity to have a plan in place and then with the help of the Holy Spirit work on our plan daily. Adherence to this everyday discipline will yield tremendous dividends for our personal lives and for the Kingdom of Heaven. The world will be blessed simply because we spent some extra time immersed in spiritual disciplines resulting in spiritual growth. Have I convinced you yet of the kingdom importance of your growing in faith?
Today Paul begins a new subsection in our pick verses for today – “Faithful Fellow Workers”. Paul, being in a prison in Rome, knew that the probability of him being able to visit Philippi anytime in the near future was very doubtful. His plan “B” was instead to send Timothy and Epaphroditus to the Philippian church as his personal representative. Timothy was well known to the Philippians. He had been with Paul on the second missionary journey when the church in Philippi was started. Timothy was there when Paul and Silas were imprisoned in Philippi and when God caused the earthquake that broke open the prison doors. Timothy was part of the “pastoral” staff who baptized the Philippian jailer and his family (Acts 16). Timothy was like Paul in two very important ways. First, he was genuinely interested in the spiritual condition of the Philippian believers and he sought to promote the cause of Christ rather than his own interests. Friends, these are important traits for every believer to follow regardless of location or year on the calendar.
